Channel Northis a free to air public channel in Whangarei, NZ. This channel features many local shows that are played everyday as well as a Community Diary, Local News, Fishing show and more.

The channel is owned by the North TV Charitable Trust which helped the station for its launch and raise money.

Programming

Channel North is targeted for all ages and has local shows and news show. The Channel also plays Stratos throughout the day until the Channel gets enough local shows. The channel also has local shows from local people. The Channel Plays a movie every Saturday Night from the Channel Stratos which is a NZ TV Channel with International Shows being played.

The Community Diary

Channel North has a fishing show called "Out of the water" and aCommunity Diarywhich are local shows showing people how to fish in the best spots around Whangarei and the "Community Diary" is a show with local notices and events comming up in Whangarei. TheCommunity Diaryis played every weekday. The Channel is putting together more shows in the future and is hoping to get more people to tune in the Station for the Future.
