 Biography

His Music Bio/History

It all started out when i was sitting with ma coffee... Nah seriously my music interest started when i was only 8, i was in the orchestra ( Parua Bay School Orchestra). Mr H always signed me up for it who is STILL the current headmaster of the school hes been there for fukin ages, anyway back on track i learnt how to play the xylophone which is much easier to play than to spell it you just hit the metal things and a "ding" sound comes out. I then progressed to the Pianoca, you shove a tube in your mouth and play the keys it sounds really gay and stupid but back then it was the shit.

Then in the year 2002 i put an add in the yellow pages "michael Hill...Golpher" Lol nah i saw an add at the Parua bay BP which is now gasoline alley about guitar lessons at the Mt Tiger recording studios, I took that chance and now i play guitar. The guy that taught me Rene a swiss man that can play basically anything, made a tear drop from my eye on the first night i went there he played the guitar so beautifully and perfect. Throughout my years at the studio i learnt how to play the drums, Bass, Congas etc.

In the year 2005 steven;more well known as young slanteyez got into the hobby of makin instrumentals on a program called Fruity Loops (FL Studio) later on he made songs called

                            "Avis_Theme"
and
                           "TakeThisGrain"

which appered on the album Coconut Feed which was a late 2005/early 2006 album.

In late 2006 i began my music writing "career" i started using samples and arranging them in order to make songs, then i had a somewhat fetish for MIDI and inporting them into samplers and arranging scores for them and making songs from MIDI to MP3. I remixed songs like;

                           "Braveheart Remix"
                                  and
                               "Batmaash"

They didn't go far seriously im actually quite embarrased about them, but hey you've got to start somewhere. I then slowly progressed to remixing famous songs like Gary Jules' Tears for fears cover "Mad World" and turning it into A Drum and Bassish song, Likewise for the prodigy song "firestarter".

A big thanks to the guys at wards especially Brendon for hooking us up with computer music magazines. I was in wards one day and i asked Brendon if he had any sample cd's he said "gimi a sec", he went out back and gave me a cd for free. SweetBix!
It contained awesome drum samples and synths. Since then ive been buying the computer music magazine inc. Sample disc.

Later that year me and steven started having Audio Engineering lessons at mount tiger recording studios. We wernt there long but we sure learnt heaps. Thanks to the lessons we are now more experienced with recording and producing. Another big thanks to Mr Matheison for his support and effort to helping us throught the years, especially in 2007.

Now im recording, Producing and editing.
I make proper songs now for myself and other people.

I was contacted by someone wanting beats to be made for him you know him as Alex Gilbert. We have made serveral instrumentals for him and some featuring young slanteyez. Thanks to Alex We've gotten more publicity and people wanting instrumentals made for them. Shot Alex.

In early 2007 i was in the rockquest with a band called fase (face) we got into the semi-nationals of new zealand. Thats an end to that chapter

I was in town one day with young slanteyez, Sofia and Sam Doel (Bogan) I was looking for some drum and Bass artists and i bought a Cd called Chaos by Design by the legendary Concord Dawn. Since then ive been hooked to drum and bass, that is what i specialise in when i make my songs.

"The Fall Of" was my first album it certainly isnt an album full of good songs but it was my first indapendant album, i had featured on the "dead and Burried" album and the "old Grassroots" album with a few songs. I am currently making the " It's Closer Than You Think" album Which so far has my best songs on there so its gona be good. It features mainly Drum and Bass songs with a few electronica, This album will also have vocals in it from young slanteyez, me and hopefully Alex, andrew and anthony(U.N.S Rep).

If you read this, shot.
